Cara Delevingne Biography:
British model Cara Delevingne was born in Hammersmith, East London, daughter of Pandora and Charles (a property developer). She grew up in Belgravia and attended Francis Holland School for Girls, leaving at the age of 16 to attend Bedales School in Hampshire. She suffered from dyspraxia and has admitted to suffering from depression when she was just 15. She studied drama and music for a year, before deciding to follow in older sister Poppy’s footsteps and become a model.
She had prior modeling experience, having first modeled at a young age, and her sister’s success helped provide her with opportunities. In 2009, at the age of 17, she was spotted by Sarah Doukas and signed to Storm Model Management. It took a year for Cara to snag her first paid gig, and two seasons until she landed her first runway show. 2012 is when things really got big for her, though, as she was scouted by Burberry in 2011, and became the face of the company’s spring and summer campaign.
Delevingne’s career skyrocketed from this point, and she had shows in Milan, New York, and London. Cara modeled for Dolce & Gabbana, Louis Vuitton, and Chanel. And, in 2012, she kicked off her acting career by taking a role in the film Anna Karenina (2012). Her biggest role today was a leading part in the hit movie Paper Towns (2015).
