It’s been years since the Harry Potter crew we all knew and loved were attending potions class at Hogwarts. In fact, they have all grown up and are longer school children at all. Many of them have started dating, getting married, and even having children! Although the characters found love at school, the actors and actresses who played them found it in real life. Here are the real-life love stories of the Harry Potter cast.
Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley)
We’re calling it…if we could be any Witch, we would TOTALLY be Ginny Weasley. As the dark horse of the franchise, Ginny started off as a relatively small character, before blossoming into a heroine in The Chamber of Secrets. From then on, Ginny continued to rock the magical world as a prominent member of Dumbledore’s Army, where she wowed everyone with her ‘Reducto’ spells. As if she wasn’t cool enough already, Ginny eventually wins the heart of the Chosen One himself. Aww.
Bonnie Wright and Jamie Campbell Bower (engaged and split)
Ginny’s role in The Deathly Hallows: Part 2 and her marriage to Harry seemed to have perked up Bonnie Wright’s ears to the idea of marriage, as she soon announced that she was engaged to a fellow Harry Potter alum. Yuh-huh, Bonnie found the magic in the arms of Jamie Campbell Bower, who starred as the young Grindelwald in the first Deathly Hallows movie. The pair unfortunately called off their wedding in 2012.
Alfred Enoch (Dean Thomas)
Although Harry had to deal with some pretty rough experiences during his time at Hogwarts (y’know, after You-Know-Who tried to kill him about 158 times), he surrounded himself with a strong and powerful group of friends who were there to help every step of the way. One of those friends was Dean Thomas, a fellow Gryffindor who *may* have stolen Harry’s crush, but later proved to be a vital member of Dumbledore’s Army and in the Battle of Hogwarts.
Alfred Enoch and Aja Naomi King (allegedly dating)
Although Potterheads know Alfred Enoch for his invaluable role in the Harry Potter franchise, he is now known across the pond for a much larger role that has shot him to stardom. If you’re a fan of murder mysteries, you’ll know him as Wes Gibbins in How to Get Away With Murder. It seems this role has also been life-changing in other ways, as he is rumored to be dating his co-star, Aja Naomi King.
Robert Pattinson (Cedric Diggory)
Yep, we do give you permission to cry, because we’re not over this either! As one of the only Hufflepuffs we get to know in the Harry Potter franchise, we were first introduced to his character in The Goblet of Fire. Cedric was the first Hogwarts champion to be chosen for the Triwizard Tournament, and Cedric and Harry were both teammates and enemies. Despite this, it didn’t make his death at the hands of Voldemort any easier. We’ll miss you, Cedric.
Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs (were engaged)
We loved Cedric Diggory in the Wizarding World, so of course we love Robert Pattinson in the Muggle world. Now, he is making it big as an actor, musician, model and more (blimey) and it seems these talents were extremely attractive to FKA Twigs. Pattinson and the British singer started dating in 2015 and were together for two years as boyfriend and girlfriend AND fiance and fiancee. Unfortunately, they called off their marriage in 2017.
Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood)
Ahhhh, look at those Spectrespects! With her fairy-like appearance and her floaty personality, Luna Lovegood is definitely one of the wisest witches we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting – even if she is a little loony. From her Butterbeer cork necklace to her fascination with Nargles, Luna proves to be a vital support system throughout Harry Potter’s Hogwarts experience, and the Battle of Hogwarts definitely owes a lot to her. After all, without her Harry would never have known about the Lost Diadem…
Evanna Lynch and Robbie Jarvis (dated)
Just like her on-screen and off-screen pal, Bonnie Wright, Evanna Lynch also managed to bag herself some romantic magic on the set of Harry Potter. During the filming of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Evanna got up close and personal with Robbie Jarvis, who starred in the movie as the young James Potter. The pair seemed to get closer after the cameras stopped rolling and posted adorable photos like this one online. However, they never confirmed their relationship.
James Phelps (Fred Weasley)
Over the course of their short-lived Hogwarts careers, Fred and George Weasley proved that they had what it took to rid the Wizarding World of fear… one Skiving Snackbox at a time. Although their mother might not have approved of their cheeky outlook on life to start with, their shenanigans took down Professor Umbridge, gave hope to those who needed it, and formed a thriving business, until Fred sadly lost his life during the Battle of Hogwarts (*sobs*).
James Phelps and Simone Burke (dated)
Although we’re still not over the death of his on-screen character, it’s fair to say that James Phelps is still alive and kicking, and making the most of his fame and fortune. While he still acts today, the rest of the world tries to determine his relationship status. Although he keeps his private life under wraps, we do know that James dated the American movie producer, Simone Burke, for a little while before moving on to Annika Ostle.
Oliver Phelps (George Weasley)
Yep, it’s the other one! Just like his twin, George Weasley was just as mischievous as Fred Weasley and proved throughout his time at Hogwarts that he was more than up for the job of being the class clown. After the sad death of his brother, George ensures that the family business keeps on thriving, and he even marries his brother’s date to the Yule Ball, Angelina Johnson. Well, if that’s not a fairytale ending, we’re not sure what is.
Oliver Phelps and Katy Humpage (married)
It’s no surprise that Oliver and James Phelps look pretty darn similar in real life. They look identical, in fact! Although it’s a magical mission to tell which one is which, there is now an easy way to distinguish one from the other, as you just need to look out for a wedding ring. Yep, despite the fact that he hasn’t confirmed anything himself, IMDb states that Oliver tied the knot in 2015 to a woman named Katy Humpage.
Warwick Davis (Professor Flitwick and Griphook)
Warwick Davis is somewhat of a Harry Potter legend, because he not only played our favorite charms teacher, Professor Flitwick (swish, and flick), but he also donned a Gringotts uniform to appear as Griphook the Goblin. Both of these characters proved vital in Harry Potter’s life. Flitwick provided him with knowledge and safety within the castle, and Griphook helped Harry retrieve the Sword of Gryffindor from Gringotts – y’know until he double-crossed Harry and the gang.
Warwick Davis and Samantha Davis (married)
Nowadays, Potterheads know Warwick Davis for his role in the Harry Potter franchise, but it seems that this British actor has a wealth of experience under his belt. In fact, he’s starred in major movies such as Star Wars and Labyrinth. When the cameras aren’t rolling, Warwick spends time with his wife, Samantha Davis, who is also an actress. The couple has been married since 1991 and live a happy and healthy life with their two wonderful children.
Ralph Fiennes (Voldemort)
Get your wands ready, ladies and gents, because we’re gonna need to banish this guy once and for all! Formerly Tom Riddle, Voldemort is known in the magical world as the darkest wizard of all time – who makes it his mission to seek immortality and power. Unfortunately, Harry Potter wasn’t going to let that happen anytime soon, and as The Chosen One with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord, he eventually overpowers Voldemort. Good riddance, we say.
Ralph Fiennes and Alex Kingston (married and divorced)
Thankfully, Ralph Fiennes is NOTHING like Lord Voldemort in real life. For starters, he actually has a nose – which is kind of a bonus – and he also has his soul intact. It was this whole soul that attracted his former wife, Alex Kingston. The couple first met when they both attended the same art school in 1983 and tied the knot ten years later. They seemed to live the perfect life until Ralph cheated on her and their marriage dissolved.
David Thewlis (Remus Lupin)
Oh, Lupin. How we love thee! As the best friend of James Potter and the gang, Lupin was the Messrs Moony to their Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs, after a werewolf bite left him with an unfortunate affliction. Although the moon cycle often affected his livelihood, Lupin soon went on to become one of the best Defence Against the Dark Arts teachers Hogwarts ever employed. Lupin was also a prominent member of the Order of the Phoenix until he sadly lost his life.
David Thewlis and Anna Friel (dated)
Whenever you watch a cheesy rom-com, there ALWAYS has to be a scene where two singletons sit next to each other on an airplane and instantly hit it off. Although it is super cheesy, that’s exactly how David Thewlis and Anna Friel met. In fact, the two actors dated from 2001 until 2010 and welcomed a wonderful daughter into the world. Sadly, their relationship came to an end after nine years, but they are still good friends.
Geraldine Somerville as Lily Potter
Lily Potter is a minor character in the Harry Potter franchise, but her story plays a major part in Harry Potter’s life – after all, she is his mother. We see snippets of Lily’s younger years throughout the movies, but it’s her backstory that changes the course of history. After Lord Voldemort finds the Potters in Godric Hollow, Lily shields her son in an attempt to save his life. Little did Harry now that this action would save his life multiple times…
Geraldine Somerville now
Although she will forever be known as Lily Potter, Geraldine Somerville has also made a name for herself outside of the Harry Potter franchise. Before her time as Harry’s mother, Geraldine was known for her role in the popular crime series, Cracker. In this show, she played Detective Sergeant Jane Penhaligon, before moving on to smaller roles in a Titanic mini-series. She is married to William Osborn-Young, who is not a famous celebrity at all, and little is known about him. The couple has has children.
Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter
There’s no need to introduce the hero of the franchise, and Daniel Radcliffe was an obvious choice for Harry Potter, with his innocent looks and similarity to the description which JK Rowling had put into the books. He was just 11 years old when he starred in the first movie, and as we all know, ends up romantically involved with his best friend’s sister, which works out alright in the end! But what about Radcliffe’s off-screen love life?
Daniel Radcliffe and Erin Darke
Off screen, Daniel has been with his girlfriend Erin Darke for close to five years. Rumors are frequently flying that they are now engaged, and that he spared no expense to buy her a gorgeous engagement ring, but the couple haven’t shared any wedding plans to speak of. 28 year old Erin is best known for her role as Cindy Reston on Good Girls Revolt, so she is no stranger to life in the spotlight. Daniel clearly used his magic on her! #sorrynotsorry
John Cleese as Nearly Headless Nick
Many people forget that John Cleese was one of the cameo stars in Harry Potter, playing Nearly Headless Nick, the phantom who haunted the Hogwarts halls, (albeit in a harmless kind of way.) John Cleese is best known as a comedic actor with parts like Basil Fawlty in Fawlty Towers, but his scenes as Nearly Headless Nick were excellent, and he was the perfect choice for the part, we’re sure you’ll agree.
John Cleese and Jennifer Wade
Jennifer Wade is John Cleese’s fourth wife, and with an 32 year age difference, you can guess why some eyebrows raised when they announced their engagement. But John rushed to his young brides defence, saying that at 75, he is more in love than he has ever been, actually taking a dig at his previous spouses, saying he has never been in love before he met Jennifer. We guess age is just a number then!
Julie Walters as Molly Weasley
One of the most beloved British actresses on the Hollywood circuit, Julie Walters is an incredibly talented performer, and her part as Molly Weasley, Ron’s mom was no different. As well as parenting Ron, Ginny, Fred and George and the rest of the kids, she also kept Arthur’s harebrained schemes in check. As Harry’s surrogate mother, their relationship was very close, and it was her love for her children that saved them in the end.
Julie Walters and Grant Roffey
In real life, Julie Walters did not intend to be the family woman that Molly Weasley is by any means. In fact, she says that she never intended to settle down. ‘I was going out and getting slaughtered on champagne and not having any kind of domestic life – until I met Grant in 1985, and it just stopped,’ Julie says they support each others dreams, and they adore their daughter Maisie, their only child. Not so different from Molly after all then!
John Hurt as Garrick Ollivander
Ollivander is the one and only place for wands of all shapes and sizes in London, right there on Diagon Alley. The magic when Harry is first taken to get his supplies with Hagrid is truly sensational, and Ollivander is part of the reason why! John Hurt stepped up to play this role, and was a perfect choice, kindly and elderly, with just a touch of the magical in himself. Not a child amongst us didn’t wish they could step into his store and get their own wand.
John Hurt and Anwen Rees Myers
While we never see Ollivander having any kind of romance, off screen, John Hurt was married four times. When he died, he was with his fourth wife, Anwen Rees-Myers with whom he was very much in love. “It was very close to being love at first sight,” Anwen said. “Obviously I had known a lot about him for a long time – John the icon. We went out only a couple of times before we realized it was special. We’ve both been married before so we took it slowly and wanted to get it right.”
Fiona Shaw as Petunia Dursley
Who could forget the Dursley’s of Privet Drive, where our hero Harry grew up living under the stairs. As well as his awful cousin Dudley, there was his Aunt Petunia, who treated him terribly and only had eyes for her Dudders. Fiona Shaw was cast as Petunia, and she appeared in five of the movies. She is also known as Marnie Stonebrook in True Blood, for those fans out there! (Ohhh yeah!) But what about off screen?
Fiona Shaw and Saffron Burrows
When Fiona Shaw came out as gay in 2005, it was a shock to the world. Beforehand she had been married to a man, and seemingly living a happy life, but her secret was too much for her to keep. Her first ‘out’ relationship was with Saffron Burrows, but the pair have since broken up. She talks openly about her sexuality and her daughters do as well, being proud advocates for lesbian rights. We hope she finds happiness easily!
Mark Ballas -Hogwarts Student
We love Mark Ballas, and he loves Harry Potter, so we’re happy to include him in this list, even though his teeny part in the movies didn’t even get him his own name. He was cast in the first movie as a student, but he told MTV that he was unhappy about just one thing. “I ended up being a Hufflepuff. I wanted to be Gryffindor or Slytherin. But I was in the first movie, holding an owl and sitting in the kitchen and stuff.” We feel your pain.
Mark Ballas and BC Jean
Mark is better known for his time on Dancing with the Stars, as well as his role as Frankie Vallie in Jersey Boys. He isn’t short of romance in his life though, as he is married to the coolest woman in town, Singer Britanny Jean Carlson, better known as BC Jean. They got hitched at Calamigos Ranch, where the bride wore black boots and they had the ceremony on a fairground carousel!
Julie Christie as Madam Rosmerta
Remember when the kids at Hogwarts were finally allowed to go to Hogsmeade, and could sample the delicious treats of the Three Broomsticks, including the mouthwatering sounding Butter Beer? We all used to discuss with our friends what that drink would have tasted like, but none would know better than Madam Rosmerta herself, the woman who was the landlady of the establishment! Her most famous role was helping Draco Malfoy, under the Imperius Curse, of course.
Julie Christie and Duncan Campbell
For many decades, Julie Christie insisted that she would never get married, and that she didn’t even believe in the concept of marriage! But the hippie actress has finally settled down with her long term partner, Duncan Campbell, and they have now been married since 2008, in a secret Indian wedding celebration. She waited until 66 to tie the knot, but they have now been hitched a decade, showing that it’s never too late.
David Tennant as Barty Crouch Jr
Even we forgot about this amazing guest star, from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. It’s Bartemius (Barty) Crouch Jr, who some call the HP world’s best villain! Of course, David Tennant is much better known for his long term role as Doctor Who, which he has now handed the baton over to Jodie Whitaker for, as the first female doctor! He is also famous for Broadchurch, and Jessica Jones. But what about his love life? Good news…
David Tennant and Georgia Moffett
… Sorry, it’s not that he’s single! David Tennant was taken off the market for good in 2011, when he married actress Georgia Moffett. The couple have four kids, Doris, Olive, Wilfred and Ty, Georgia’s son from a previous relationship who David has adopted. He is now one of the most famous actors in the British scene, working on West End productions and theatre as well as taking America by a storm with his acting prowess.
Henry Lloyd Hughes as Roger Davies
Believe it or not, even though Henry Lloyd Hughes played Roger Davies in the movies, he couldn’t even manage to get tickets to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child! In the movies, he was a Ravenclaw student from Hogwarts who was older than Harry and his friends. He went to the Yule Ball with Fleur Delacour and was entirely besotted with her. Captain of the Ravenclaw Quiddich team, did he find his Fleur in real life?
Henry Lloyd Hughes Offscreen
Although Henry is married, since 2014 to his long term girlfriend, there is not a lot known about her, or much on the internet either! She is a journalist, and a football fan, just like her husband. The couple are famously private, and don’t have any kids, but he mentions her as his wife in most of his interviews, and says he enjoys spending time with her. We can’t even find a photo of the happy couple, but we wish we could!
Scarlett Byrne as Pansy Parkinson
Pansy Parkinson is a Slytherin housemate and one of the meanest girls in the class, enjoying teasing and being cruel to Harry and his friends. She is most likely a pure blood and especially does not like Muggles. We see her coupled up with Draco Malfoy towards the end of the series, but nothing serious ever goes on between them. But does Scarlett fare better in the romantic department off screen than on?
Scarlett Byrne and Cooper Hefner
Absolutely, as Scarlett is engaged to Cooper Hefner, the son of the one and only Playboy magnate Hugh Hefner, who died last year. He is the Chief Creative Officer of Playboy, as well as a writer and a media exec. The couple got engaged in 2015, but we have not seen a wedding date set yet. Come on guys, we can’t wait to see these two tie the knot and share their wedding pics with the world. Hopefully they wont be Playboy style!
Freddie Stroma as Cormac McLaggen
Poor Cormac McLaggen. He takes a liking to Hermione Grainger, and yet loses out to Ron in the end, and wants to become the Gryffindor Keeper, but doesn’t manage to do that either. In the movies, he is pretty aggressive and self assured, but he never appeared to come out on top. But what about in real life? Was Freddie as unlucky in love as Cormac was, or did he turn things around when the cameras turned off?
Freddie Stroma and Johanna Braddy
This celeb couple are probably one of the most gorgeous in Hollywood, and they are newlyweds, just tying the knot back in 2017. They met on the set of UnReal, the Amazon Prime hit, and Johanna ios also well known for her role on Quantico, playing Shelby Wyatt. Freddie was cast in UnReal as the Bachelor in Season One, and Johanna was his favoured contestant, making this an adorable love story which is one in a million!
Bill Nighy as Rufus Scrimgeour
Bill Nighy was obviously going to appear in Harry Potter at some point, being one of Britian’s most well loved and talented actors. He was perfect for the part of Rufus Scrimgeour, a Ministry of Magic employee who was captured by Voldemort and was murdered by him when he refused to divulge ministry secrets. He was Head of the Auror Office, and was a real tough cookie, coming up against Harry more than once.
Bill Nighy and Diana Quick
Although they were together for 27 years, Bill Nighy has since split up with his long term partner Diana Quick. At one point, he asked her to marry him to which she allegedly replied “don’t ask me again”. Perhaps he should have known it wasn’t ‘love actually.’ (Groan) The couple had one daughter together Mary, who is considering going into acting just like her dear old dad. Any other romantic relationships have been kept out of the spotlight.
Clemence Poesy (Fleur Delacour)
Considering Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is the main school within the Harry Potter universe, it’s difficult to think of witches and wizards learning their magic elsewhere. However, Fleur Delacour showed us what a true Beauxbatons Academy of Magic student looked like – and we’re kinda jealous. With beautiful uniforms and a larger than life headmistress (quite literally) Fleur used her schooling to her advantage during the Triwizard Tournament, before starting adult life and marrying Bill Weasley. Awww.
Clemence Poesy and Emeric Glayse (dated)
Unfortunately, Fleur Delacour’s magical wedding was rudely interrupted by Death Eaters and a fallen ministry – it seems as though this French beauty was once planning a wedding that WOULDN’T involve guests getting hexed. In 2015, Clemence announced her engagement to the famous artist, Emeric Glayse. The couple were meant to tie the knot a year later, but their relationship fell apart soon after they welcomed their first child into the world. Hopefully, she’ll find her Bill Weasley soon.
Domhnall Gleeson (Bill Weasley)
Although Bill was a relatively small character in the first few movies – he came to prominence in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and truly made a name for himself. Yep, with his fang earring, his dragon skin boots, his new wife (Fleur) and his beautiful Shell Cottage, Bill provides vital support to Harry, Ron and Hermione – as well as the Order of the Phoenix as a whole. Sadly, he was bitten by werewolf Fenrir Greyback in the last movie, but Fleur still loves him!
Domhnall Gleeson and Juliette Bonass (dating)
Since his time in Harry Potter, Domhnall Gleeson has proven that he is a force to be reckoned with in Hollywood. With credits in the likes of Star Wars, Goodbye Christopher Robin and The Revenant, Domhnall has truly taken the world of acting by storm. Yet, his newfound fame doesn’t mean he’s less secretive about his dating life. Although he tries to keep it under wraps, he did let slip that he was dating the producer, Juliette Bonass, back in 2016.
Jessie Cave (Lavender Brown)
Ahhhh, Lavender Brown. Or should we call her ‘Lav-Lav’? Well, the latter makes us feel a little nauseous, so we’ll think we’ll stick with her full name. Although Lavender Brown only made an appearance in the sixth movie, it’s fair to say that she made a real impression on Harry Potter fans across the world. With her deep infatuation with Ron Weasley, Lavender proved that the term ‘psycho girlfriend’ also exists in the Wizarding World…
Jessie Cave and Alfie Brown (dated)
It seems as if Jessie Cave really liked the surname of her Harry Potter character – as her previous boyfriend was called Alfie Brown! As a creative type herself, Jessie was drawn to the comedian a few years ago, before they entered into a whirlwind romance together. The quirky couple even had two children together, before they sadly ended things. They’re still friends, though, as they often film YouTube videos together and perform in comedy sketches as a duo.
Katie Leung (Cho Chang)
Although we would never class Harry Potter as a series of romance movies, there’s no denying the fact that the ladies REALLY loved The Chosen One. From the giggling first years to Romilda Vane and Ginny Weasley, they all wanted a piece of The Boy Who Lived. Yet, Cho Chang was one of the lucky ones to get a (slightly wet) snog off of Harry Potter. Although, in the end, their relationship didn’t really amount to much.
IKatie Leung and Leo Ku (dated)
Unfortunately, Cho Chang didn’t have a very successful dating record while at Hogwarts. Her first boyfriend was sadly murdered by Lord Voldemort, and Harry was too busy saving the Wizarding world. As if things couldn’t get any worse, she’s also struggled in the Muggle world – as Katie has only really had a brief fling with Leo Ku, a musician from Hong Kong. The pair met while Leo Ku was filming a music video in England, but their long-distance relationship just didn’t work.
Jamie Campbell Bower (young Gellert Grindelwald)
One of the best things we love about the Harry Potter movies is the fact that we often get an insight into the history of the Magical World, thanks to Dumbledore and his Pensieve. One of the characters we met during a memory-session was the young Gellert Grindelwald. Arguably one of the most powerful wizards of all time, this guy was almost a match for Dumbledore himself… but not quite. Thankfully, Dumbledore worked his magic – quite literally – with this one.
Jamie Campbell Bower and Matilda Lowther (dating)
Yep, he’s on the list again! This time, he’s the leading star – rather than the boyfriend. After breaking things off with his fellow Harry Potter alumnus, Bonnie Wright, Jamie Campbell Bower didn’t stick around to wallow or cry into his tub of Ben & Jerry’s. Instead, he managed to find love with the English model, Matilda Lower. The couple are reportedly still together today, and look utterly beautiful together. Just look at those cheekbones. Darn them.
Sean Biggerstaff (Oliver Wood)
Where would we be without Oliver Wood, ey? We wouldn’t know anything about Quidditch, what the Quaffle is, the role of the Quidditch players, or even what the aim of the game is! Thanks to this guy, we could basically mount our broomsticks right now and score five points for Gryffindor. Throughout his Hogwarts career, Oliver Wood managed to coach Harry to perfection (not that he really needed it) and ultimately land himself a professional Quidditch career. Go, Wood!
Sean Biggerstaff and Gaia Weiss (dated)
Although Oliver Wood’s character left after a couple of years, that doesn’t mean we’ve forgotten about Sean Biggerstaff. Not only has he since grown a bit of facial hair, but he also managed to bag himself a beautiful girlfriend – so he’s not doing too badly for himself! Sean confirmed his relationship with the French model, Gaia Weiss, in 2013, and the couple looked absolutely perfect for each other. Unfortunately, the magic just wasn’t there, and the pair eventually broke things off.
Robbie Coltrane (Rubeus Hagrid)
Yer a Wizard, ‘Arry! As one of the first members of the Wizarding community to come into Harry’s life, Rubeus Hagrid holds a special place in our hearts. As the Gamekeeper and later the Care of Magical Creatures teacher at Hogwarts, Hagrid is not only a special friend but also an authority figure to look towards for guidance (well, kinda). Although he made some pretty questionable decisions during the Harry Potter franchise, we still have a soft spot for this half-giant.
Robbie Coltrane and Rhona Gemmell (married and divorced)
Although he has a soft heart underneath his beard and mass of hair, we only ever saw Hagrid have eyes for one woman; Madame Maxime. Robbie is just as committed in real life, as he was previously married to Rhona Gemmell in 1999. Over the course of their marriage, the couple brought two beautiful children into the world and lived a happy life. Unfortunately, Robbie and Rhona have since drifted apart and divorced.
Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange)
Oh, Bellatrix. What are we going to do with you, ey? As one of Lord Voldemort’s closest confidantes, Bellatrix Lestrange is the epitome of a Death Eater. In fact, we can’t think of a single positive thing to say about her! Not only did she kill Sirius Black (*sobs*) she is also responsible for the deaths of Dobby and Tonks – and that’s before we even get onto the fact that she brutally tortured Mr. and Mrs. Longbottom. Yep, we hated her.
Helena Bonham Carter and Tim Burton (dated)
Although she looks exactly like her on-screen character (y’know, just without the Dark Mark on her skin) Helena Bonham Carter is really just a sweetheart. Thanks to her impressive and versatile acting talents, Carter attracted the attention of the legendary movie producer, Tim Burton. The couple dated for a whopping 13 years and welcomed two children into the world together – all while living next door to each other. Sadly, their relationship came to an end in 2014.
Matthew Lewis as Neville Longbottom
Little Neville Longbottom was kind of the underdog of the whole franchise, and Matthew Lewis was a great choice, as a slightly overweight, pathetic kind of kid! But while Rupert Grint and Daniel Radcliffe are still hardly pin ups to speak of, Matthew Lewis has had quite the transformation into one of the hottest actors from the show. He never got a real love interest in the movies, but in real life things turned out a bit differently…
Matthew Lewis and Angela Jones
After a whirlwind romance which must have swept them both off their feet, Matthew proposed to Angela Jones just four months after her divorce was finalized from her first husband! She works as an events planner, and the pair are clearly very much in love. Nerdy Neville is long gone, and the gorgeous Matthew Lewis looked every inch the guy who got his girl finally in the engagement photo snapped right by the Eiffel Tower where he proposed.
Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy)
Well, well, well. Where do we start with Draco Malfoy? If you’re up to date on your wizarding family trees, you’ll know that the Malfoy family are one of the last pure-blood families still in existence – and Malfoy makes no secret of that fact. As the son of a Death Eater and proud Slytherin, Draco proves that he has all of the right skills and personality traits to follow in his father’s footsteps. That is until it all proves too much for him…
Tom Felton and Jade Olivia (dated)
Thankfully, Tom Felton has shied away from his Slytherin roots and proved that he can be a decent human being (phew, we were worried for a second). Although he now keeps his private life under wraps, we do know that Felton has kept his Harry Potter past close to him. In fact, from 2008 until 2016, Felton was in a relationship was Jade Olivia, who starred as his wife in The Deathly Hallows: Part 2. What are the chances?!
Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley)
Well, what do we have here? The red hair, the hand-me-down-robes (just kidding), and the freckles? He must be a Weasley. But he’s no ordinary Weasley. As the best friend of Harry Potter himself, Ron proved that he had what it took to step out of his brothers’ shadows to help Harry defeat He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named and restore peace in the Wizarding World – all while having a MA-HOOSIVE crush on his best friend, Hermione Granger. Thankfully, they end up tying the knot.
Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome (dated)
Ron Weasley is one of the biggest movie characters in the world, but Rupert Grint likes to keep his own life pretty private. This means his dating life isn’t on show for us to dissect (*sobs*), but we do know he once dated the British actress, Georgia Groome. It’s believed that Rupert dated the Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging star in 2011 and had an on-and-off relationship for a few years – although they were spotted getting pretty cozy last year…
Emma Watson as Hermione Grainger
Probably the most successful actress from the franchise, Emma Watson could never have guessed what the role of Hermione Grainger would do for her career. She is now not only an accomplished actress, stealing the show in parts such as Belle in Beauty and the Beast, but also an ambassador for women’s rights, and a true role model for thousands of young women everywhere. In Harry Potter, she ends up coupled with Ron Weasley, but what about off the big screen?
Emma Watson and William Mack Knight
Emma dated William Mack Knight for more than two years, even discussing how she would like to be the one to propose to him, if and when the time came. Unfortunately, that time never showed up, and Emma is now back on the market again, as of November 2017. The beautiful young woman has no shortage of admirers, and just like Hermione, she has the brains to match! Whatever she does next, we’re sure her heart won’t stay broken for long.
