The couple – played by Woody Harrelson and Demi Moore –lands into trouble when they decide to gamble all of their life savings on one spin of the roulette. They lost their savings and a billionaire, Robert Redford, offered the couple $1 million so that he can sleep with Demi Moore. This film depicts the challenges couples must overcome when fate is testing their relationship.

3. Casablanca

This film is regarded as one of the greatest movie ever made. This 1942 romantic drama film features the character of Rick. He owns a café called Café Americain that attracts various clients including refugees, German officials, and the Vichy French. A crook obtained a letter of transit from two murdered German couriers. The letters will enable the bearer to Portugal and Europe and they are priceless to any refugee who can’t leave Casablanca. Rick was surprised when he saw the former love of his life, Ilsa. She was accompanied by her husband Laszlo and they needed the letters to escape.

Ilsa explained that to Rick in a deserted café that when they met in Paris in the 1940s, she thought that her husband had died. When she attempted to flee with Rick she learned that her husband Laszlo was able to survive in the German concentration camp. She left Rick without a word in order to care for her sick husband. Rick was able to forgive her. Ilsa gambled everything on a single turn of roulette in order to help Laszlo escape from the hands of a corrupt investigator. The owner, Rick, ensures that the wheel will turn into their favor and helps the couple escape to Lisbon.

4. Dirty Rotten Scoundrels

Steve Martin and Michael Caine played an important role in this 1988 comedy film. The two men came to France in order to play the roulette and win thousands of dollars. The movie shows the men playing against each other and as well as with other opponents. At the time, France seems to be a great setting in the 17th century setting of the movie since it is believed that the roulette was invented in the country. Roulette even means “small wheel” in French. However, two men seem not to care where the roulette is invented since their only focus is to win a huge fortune.

5. California Split
