Adam DeVine Biography:

Adam DeVine is an actor, comedian, screenwriter, singer, and producer. He was born in Iowa to Penny and Dennis DeVine. As a kid, he graduated from Millard South High School in Nebraska. As a child, he was involved in an accident where he was hit by a cement truck, dragged under the wheels, and placed in a coma for two weeks. He decided after this that he wanted to pursue a career in comedy and acting.

DeVine then moved to Orange Coast College, and, later, to Los Angeles where he pursued a career as a stand-up comedian. In 2006, along with friends, DeVine formed the comedy sketch group Mail Order Comedy. They found success on websites like Myspace and YouTube. His earliest role was a series of TV shorts called Crossbows & Mustaches, which he created. He then won a role in the film Mama’s Boy (2007). After numerous TV appearances, including 2 episodes of Samantha Who?, DeVine had his breakout role in the sitcom Workaholics.

During this time, he followed it up with a transition into movies, with a villainous role in Pitch Perfect (2012). He took a supporting role in The Intern (2015), and a voice part in Ice Age: Collision Course (2016). For three seasons, he played the part of Haley Dunphy’s boyfriend Andy in Modern Family. And, most recently he appeared in the hit movies Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates (2016), Why Him? (2016), and The Lego Batman Movie (2017).
