Alan Tudyk Biography:

Born in El Paso, Texas, Tudyk briefly studied at Juilliard, before dropping out in 1996. He started his acting career in a number of small stage productions, and a minor role in the film Patch Adams. This led to his first Broadway role and a number of comedic roles in movies. In 2002 Tudyk landed his most memorable role, securing the part of Wash, the pilot in cult TV series Firefly.

Following the cancellation of the show, Tudyk went on to make appearances in the hit movies Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, and I, Robot. Following these movies, Tudyk then reprised his role as Wash in the 2005 movie Serenity, the spin-off of Firefly.

Due to his unique and unusual performances (and characters), Tudyk has become one of the most sought-after comedic actors in Hollywood. He has also gone back to Broadway and played the role of Lancelot in the hit musical Spamalot.

More recently, Alan has made appearances in the TV shows Con Man, Star vs. The Forces of Evil, and Powerless. While most people fondly remember him as the character of Wash from Firefly and Serenity, Tudyk has developed something of a cult following. He is currently filming Wreck-It Ralph 2, to further cement his ability as a voice actor.
