Daniel Radcliffe Biography:

Actor Daniel Jacob Radcliffe was born in London, England on July 23, 1989. His father (Alan Radcliffe) was a literary agent, and his mother (Marcia Gresham) was a casting agent – and from an early age, Daniel was a part of the professional and acting world. After appearing in school plays, Radcliffe was chosen to star in the 1999 movie, David Copperfield as a younger David Copperfield. A few years later, in 2001, he was cast alongside Jamie Lee Curtis and Geoffrey Rush in The Tailor of Panama. However, despite these castings, he was still young and relatively unknown in the world of acting. His big break would come later that year when he was approached by Chris Columbus to star in the new movie, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone as the leading man. After this casting, Daniel Radcliffe soon became a worldwide face and name – especially after the incredibly popular franchise ended after seven movies. During his time in Harry Potter, Radcliffe also branched out into the theater, and performed in his first professional on-stage West End show in 2007, in the production of Equus. His performance wowed the audience and received worldwide praise for his acting talents outside of his role as Harry Potter. Since his time within the Harry Potter franchise, Radcliffe has since starred in major roles for big budget Hollywood movies, including Now You See Me 2, Kill Your Darlings, Victor Frankenstein, Horns, The Woman in Black, What If and Swiss Army Man and has built up a huge reputation as a talented actor.
