Emma Watson Biography:

Emma Watson was born in Paris, the daughter of English lawyers. Following her parents’ divorce, Watson moved back to England with her mother at a young age and grew up in Oxford. At the age of just 6, she decided she wanted to become an actress, and joined the Stagecoach Theatre Arts to study. She performed in several school plays and studied alongside them. But this was nothing compared with what in 2001.

Watson’s life changed forever when she won the role (against thousands of applicants) of Hermione Granger in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (2001). The film went on to become wildly successful, catapulting Watson to superstar status. She went on to reprise the role in all 8 of the Harry Potter movies before going on to act in other roles. Her first post-Potter role was as Sam in The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012), and she had a cameo appearance as herself in This Is The End (2013).

Since then she has been acting on a regular basis and performed in The Bling Ring (2013), Noah (2014), and, most recently Beauty and the Beast (2017). In addition to acting, Watson has also done work as a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador and has been instrumental in promoting women’s rights across the world. In May 2014 she graduated Brown University with BA in English Literature.
