Kristen Stewart Biography:
Kristen Jaymes Stewart was born on April 9, 1990, in Los Angeles, California. Both of her parents work in the film industry, and Kristen was brought up with knowledge and understanding of movies, TV, and production. Because of this, Kristen always knew that she wanted to have her own career within screenwriting or directing, and had never wanted to be in front of the camera acting. However, after she was discovered by an agent as she performed in her school play at the young age of eight years old, Stewart was fast-tracked into the show business and acting world. Her first few acting jobs were small and mostly non-speaking parts, but her breakthrough role came from her role in the 2002 movie, Panic Room, where she starred alongside Jodie Foster. After this, Stewart was cast in numerous movie roles including Catch That Kid (2004), Speak (2004), Zathura (2005), Fierce People (2006), and In The Land of Women (2007). After years of secondary roles, Stewart finally landed herself a lead role in 2007 after she was cast as the main character in the series adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight Saga (2008). Her dark, mysterious and detached acting style in these movies spurred on Stewart’s career and she was soon recognized internationally for her acting talent. After her leading role in The Twilight Saga, Stewart began to play larger and more prominent movie roles, and starred in Adventureland (2009), The Runaways (2010) and was cast as Snow White in the epic fairy tale retelling, Snow White and the Huntsman in 2012. More recently, Stewart has starred in Clouds of Sils Maria (2014), Still Alice (2014), American Ultra (2015) and the Woody Allen movie, Cafe Society (2016).
