Singalong Versions of Classic Disney Films Are in the Works

It’s hard not to sing along when watching Disney movies such as The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, and many others. To the joy of new and long-time fans, Disney Plus has decided to create and release singalong versions of many of their iconic films this summer. Such versions of Encanto and The Disney Holiday Singalong are already available on the Disney Plus streaming service.

Disney Singalong Releases Expected This Summer

Several amazing Disney movies will be released on the Disney Plus streaming platform with this edit. Some movies that are already available with lyrics on-screen are Moana and The Little Mermaid, released on July 22nd. On August 5th, fans can expect The Lion King and The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride. On August 19th, Disney Plus users will be able to stream and sing along to Beauty and the Beast (1991 and 2017), and Tangled!

How Are These Versions Different?

The singalong editions that Disney Plus is releasing won’t be different than the originals in storyline or structure. These versions will simply have the added perk of having the words to every song appear on-screen to make it easier for viewers to keep track of the lyrics in real-time with the music. It’s an upgraded experience catering to all the Disney fans that love the tunes as much as the movies and stories themselves.

Time to Practice Iconic Disney Songs

Wholesome, rhythmic, and hard-to-forget, Disney movie songs tend to remain in people’s minds for many years. Every time we hear the familiar tunes of “I’ve Got a Dream” or “Under the Sea,” our toes start tapping and we get the urge to sing along. In addition to the aforementioned movies that people will be able to sing along to on the streaming service soon, Disney announced that Frozen and Frozen 2 will be added to the list soon too. That means it’ll be time to do your best rendition of “Let It Go” to your heart’s content!
